Hippodrome Laloubère
Hippodrome Laloubère is a horse-racing track in Laloubère, Hautes-Pyrénées de, France. It opened 1809, at Rue du Grand Vert.
History
The racecourse was inaugurated on July 23, 1809 and was modernized in 1971. In 2001, it joined the facilities of the “Grand Tarbes”. Over the years and renovations, the racecourse was classified by France Galop in the national category in 2004. It is situated at Laloubère, in the Hautes-Pyrénées department in southwestern France, and is located between Pau and Toulouse.
It is one of France’s smaller regional courses and oldest functioning racecourse, hosting flat turf racing between April and October each year. Tarbes does not have any major races but has a 9-hole golf course.
Track Details
It has a 1,800m long gallop grass track and 450m finish straight. A right-handed course of around 2000 meters.
