License and Regulatory

AmWager is a fully legal and regulated online wagering company located and operated in the United States. AmWager’s parent company AmWest Entertainment LLC (“AmWest”) maintains all necessary licenses, content agreements with all racetracks it carries, and strictly operates under the 1977 Interstate Horse Racing Act (IHA) and other relevant laws. Wagering on horse racing has been considered protected interstate commerce since the IHA was passed. AmWest Entertainment has been in operation since 2009 and is located in Prospect, KY just outside of Louisville.

AmWest is licensed and regulated by the Oregon Racing Commission as a multi-jurisdictional account wagering provider. This allows AmWager to operate in most states which do not specifically license online pari-mutuel wagering covered under the IHA.

Some states also require individual licenses for online horse betting. As such, AmWest is also licensed separately as required in Colorado, Idaho, Indiana, Kentucky, Montana, New York, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and Wyoming.
