Chepstow Racecourse

The track is a roughly oval circuit of just under 2 miles (3,200 m), a left-handed undulating course used for both flat and jump racing. It is finishing straight is about 5 furlongs (3,300 ft; 1,000 m) in length, with five fences on the chase course to be jumped. The National Hunt course is shorter, measuring 1m7f and with a downhill run to the straight home turn the final few furlongs. There are11 fairly stiff fences that make up the steeplechase course, while the hurdles course has just seven flights.

The track also offers snacks and meals for dine-ins. First is the 1926 Bar located on the ground floor of the Premier Grandstand, right next to the Parade Ring, and offers a wide selection of drinks, bar snacks, and informal seating. The Gin & Fizz Lounge is also an exclusive bar on the first floor of Premier Grandstand that offers varieties of gins, champagne, and prosecco overlooking all the racing action. Lastly, there is also Cwtch Coffi Shop, located in the corner of our Premier Grandstand foyer that offers a variety of jacket potatoes, paninis, and homemade cakes along with freshly brewed barista coffee. Their Grandstand & Paddock Grill also offers a diverse range of food, including lasagne, curry, or fish & chips. For parking, it is free for cars, minibusses, and coaches.

There are also live music race nights with big-name bands and family days featuring free children’s entertainment in the summer and a venue for numerous other indoor and outdoor events, such as concerts, weddings, and conferences.

Although they welcome everyone and even disabled people, they are a little strict to the dress code. Certain clothing items such as ripped jeans, football shirts, and vests are not permitted anywhere inside the racetrack. Rules in the Grandstand & Paddock area are relaxed, but guests should wear casual dresses in the Premier Enclosure and hospitality areas.
