Windsor Racecourse, also known as Royal Windsor Racecourse, had its first race meeting in 1866, located in Windsor, Berkshire, England. It is on the banks of the River Thames and occupies a large island between the River’s main channel and the Clewer Mill Stream backwater. It is a racecourse that was permitted to operate race meetings during both wars among the few. National hunt jump racing was abandoned and switched entirely to Flat racing in December 1998.

Currently owned by Arena Leisure PLC and one of the only two figure-of-eight courses in the United Kingdom, the other being at Fontwell Park. It is also widely acknowledged as one of the country’s premier tracks. The track was also the location for scenes in Last Orders and Midsomer Murders Season 8-episode Bantling Boy. It also supported the 2012 Summer Olympics by creating a temporary bridge linking the racecourse with Dorney Lake, the rowing and canoeing venue. The racecourse served as a pick-up and drop-off point for spectators traveling to and from Dorney Lake. It hosts 27 flat races a year from April to October with five notable races: Royal Windsor Stakes, Leisure Stakes, Midsummer Stakes, August Stakes, and Winter Hill Stakes.
