Arapahoe Park
Arapahoe Park is a horse-racing track in Aurora, Colorado, United States.
History
It is operated by Twin River Worldwide Holdings, located at 26000 East Quincy Avenue. Arapahoe Park hosts Thoroughbred, Quarter Horse, Paint Horse, and Arabian horse racing. It falls under one of the premier event and racing organizations in the western US, the Mile High Racing and Entertainment umbrella.
Generally, the racing season begins in mid-May and continues through the late spring into the summer, wrapping up mid-August. It features Thoroughbred, Quarter Horse, Arabian, Paint, and Appaloosa racing. Stakes races for the quarter horses include the Mile High Derby, the Cherry Creek Futurity, and the Rocky Mountain Futurity. For the thoroughbreds, the biggest stakes races of the season include The Inaugural, The Colorado Derby, and the Arapahoe Park Sprint.
Track Details
The grandstand includes general admission seating (benches and bleachers track-side, table and bench seating at track level) and an indoor theatre grandstand. There is also an available clubhouse table with your own private television, located on the upper level of the grandstand. Simulcast horse and greyhound racing are also offered throughout the week at Arapahoe Park. It features racing from dozens of tracks throughout North America.
